Gezende HEPP has a nominal power of 3 x 53,125 MW and its annual production is 528,000,000 kWh. The control systems of Gezende HEPP was completely modernized by ABB’s 800xA DCS automation system with a strong emphasis on the latest technology that allows remote management and effective control of the data..
Synchronization system is also modernized for performing secondary frequency control function. ABB’s DCS platform performs the functions of monitoring, control, data collection, data archiving and storage of all electricity generation parameters and data.
All the servers, workstations and active network devices were tested for integrity during the FAT. Since Gezende HEPP operates in accordance with TEİAŞ national load dispatch system, the synchronization system was also modernized.
